Our fabrication shop excels in producing the highest quality, custom designed canvas & upholstery for your boating pleasure. Nautical Specialties also offers the only USCG Authorized Captains Licensing Center in Sandusky. We are a full service training and licensing center. After you complete our course, you’ll have the proper certification to get your Merchant Mariner License from the USCG. Once again, please visit our Captains License page to learn more details.

Nautical Specialties also has the ability to customize your boat in a variety of other ways. Whether you want an above and/or below water LED lighting system, an updated navigation system, a stereo upgrade, bow and/ or stern thrusters, we can and have done it all. Why do we have three different sets of skills and abilities? Well, we’re called Nautical Specialties for a reason. We love boats. We love fellow boaters, the lifestyle, and being on the water.
